Plants have coexisted with other life forms for millions of years, providing energy and sustaining ecosystems. Fossil records show plant life began around 700 million years ago, with flowering plants emerging about 150 million years ago.

If this timeline were 1km in length, human existence would occupy the last 30 cm.

In the seventies the  book: “The Secret Life of Plants,” suggested plant sentience. Building on this observation, I use synthesisers to capture and playback electrical signals from plant life, creating a bio-feedback loop. Various plants, including cacti, orchids, and trees, respond well, as do mushrooms.

Listeners often interpret these sounds as conveying emotions. Do they have emotions? I find the plants themselves motivate the sounds, with my role being part of the interconnected whole.
