Charlie & Goldie
Biography
Charlie & Goldie started as a passion project between WA solo artists “Call Me Charlie” and “GOLDIE”. Having graduated from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2022, the two decided it was time to celebrate each other’s original music by forming the duo.
Goldie’s love of intimate folk is complimented by Charlie’s raucous stomp-boxing guitar, their styles blending as beautifully as their vocal harmonies. With playful arrangements that echo that of “Carole King” and “Joni Mitchell”, Charlie and Goldie will be sure to captivate any crowd.
Having taken out an artist award at Lancelin Busker’s Festival in 2023, Charlie & Goldie proved that they were a musical force to be reckoned with. Since then, the pair have been committed to strengthening their local music community, having hosted a series of successful songwriters nights through their seasonal residency at Fremantle’s own, Ronnie Nights. With a south-west tour lined up for 2024, this duo will be one to watch out for.
