Biography
Charlie Carters is a trio of seasoned musos from who met in a coffee shop in Freo and started jamming casually around town. After several years of developing their own distinctive style and a swag of new material they have started recording the songs. All the tracks are live recordings in the studio owned by the bass player – Alan Dawson. The main songwriter and vocalist is Dilip Parekh who has released 8 albums with his reggae/blues/ska/funk band Dilip n the DAVs. The main soloist is harpman Jean Guy Lemire a true virtuoso and very well known figure in WA music scene. The lineup varies according to personnel availabilities, with tenor sax player Doug Jones and guitarist Jorb Uangakore joining the ensemble too.
