Michael Ward Band

Raised on the salty coastal swamplands of Stratham in regional WA Michael has spent decades performing live music around WA and Australia. They are by far one of WA’s most prolific touring original acts at the moment with constant regional and national shows and festival appearances.

The acoustic singer songwriter delivers his fusion of gritty blues, roots, rock and alt country with a supercharged energy whenever he’s on stage.

He’s joined by full time professional jazz musicians Ryan Daunt and Adam Springhetti who add effortless detail and texture to the set.

They execute great harmonies and powerful accents to impact their songs with precision and power. Michael has been rewarded for his focus and musicianship with WA Country Music Award 2025 Nominations for Male artist of the year, Alt Country Song of the year and Open Songwriter of the year. Additional highlights of this group include performances at the Perth Muster (Morgan Evans, Travis Collins, Beccy Cole), Onslow Solar Eclipse Festival (The Waifs & Eskimo Joe), Country by the River Festival ‘23 in Adelaide (Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins, Sunny Cowgirls, Jayne Denham), Summer Swells Festival Perth (Jordy Maxwell), headlining the Kalamunda Live Music Spring Festival, Alice Springs Finke Desert Race Festival, Mandurah Country Music Festival 2022 (Casey Barnes, Travis Collins, Amber Lawrence), Cowaramup Sundowner Festival 2023, Pinjarra Festival, Close 2 Home Festival ’22 as well as touring with Katy Steele (Little Birdy), Steph Strings & Andrew Swift, The Audreys & Gaudion.

The back end of 2024 is also packed with a massive Australian Tour including the Mandurah Country Music Festival ‘24 (Adam Brand, The Wolfe Brother, Casey Barnes), Wangaratta Country Music Festival (Lee Kernaghan, Casey Barnes), Blossom Festival (Sold Out), Gidgestock Music Festival, Kalamunda Spring Music Festival & Fremantle Beer Festival (Sneaky Sound System).
